Terms of Service
Last updated: placeholder (Draft, October 2026)
These terms are an agreement between you, the parent or carer who creates the account, and Skynet AI Solutions Limited, trading as LearnRove ("we", "us"), company number: placeholder (00000000), registered office: placeholder (1 Example Street, London, AB1 2CD). They cover your use of LearnRove (the "service", at learnrove.co.uk). Please read them with our Privacy notice, which explains how we look after your and your child's information.
1. Who can use the service
- You must be 18 or over and the parent or legal guardian of the child who will use the account (or have their permission).
- Each account is for one child, aged 5 to 16, who learns using it under your supervision. You're responsible for how the account is used, including keeping the password private. You can set a parent PIN so only you can change certain settings.
- The service is for personal, non-commercial use in the UK.
2. What the service is
The service helps children learn the national curriculum for England, from Key Stage 1 to GCSE: lessons, practice quizzes, progress tracking, and an AI tutor that answers questions.
Lessons and quiz questions include content from Oak National Academy and the Department for Education, used under the Open Government Licence v3.0. We may improve, change or remove features over time. If a change significantly reduces what you've paid for, we'll tell you in advance, and you can cancel (section 6).
3. The AI tutor
- The AI tutor is a computer program (Claude, made by Anthropic). It can make mistakes, and its answers may sometimes be wrong or incomplete. It doesn't replace a teacher or professional advice. Please check important information.
- It's designed for children and has safety checks, but no system is perfect. Talk to your child about using it safely: for example, not to share personal details (full name, address, school).
- Our safety system checks messages to the tutor. If it finds signs a child may be at risk, we may tell you or our safeguarding lead, and in serious cases the appropriate authorities, as our Privacy notice explains.
- Free and Premium accounts include a monthly number of AI tutor questions (section 5).
4. Using the service properly
You and your child must not:
- try to get the AI tutor to produce harmful, unsuitable or illegal content, or get round its safety checks;
- use the service to bully, harass or harm anyone;
- copy, resell or scrape the service or its content, except as the Open Government Licence allows for Oak and DfE content;
- interfere with the service, its security or other users' accounts.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after a warning where reasonable. If we close a paid account for a reason that isn't your fault, we'll refund any unused part of your subscription.
5. Plans and payment
-
Free plan: Maths, one practice quiz a day (up to 10 questions), and 10 (proposed) AI tutor questions a month.
-
Premium: Maths, English, Science and Computing, unlimited practice, 300 (proposed) AI tutor questions a month, and the parent progress report. £12.99 a month or £129.99 a year (proposed), including VAT. Founding family offer (proposed): a subscription started between 18 October and 31 December 2026 costs £9.99 a month for its first 12 monthly payments (monthly), or £119.99 for its first year (yearly), then the price at the time; switching plan ends the offer on the plan left.
-
Premium renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. We take payment through Stripe at the start of each period. Before a yearly plan renews, we'll remind you by email.
-
AI tutor allowances reset each calendar month and don't carry over.
-
Price changes: we'll give you at least 30 days' notice (proposed) by email. The new price applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
-
If a payment fails, we'll let you know and try again. If it still can't be taken, your account moves to the Free plan.
6. Cancelling
- Cancel any time from Account → Cancel Premium, or in the billing portal. You keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for, then move to the Free plan. We don't charge you again.
- Your 14-day right to cancel: if you cancel within 14 days of first buying Premium, we'll end Premium straight away and give you a full refund of that first payment. Use the Account page, or email us at support@learnrove.co.uk.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete the account at any time: Account → Delete account. This cancels Premium straight away and permanently deletes the account and its learning history, as our Privacy notice explains. It can't be undone.
- Within 14 days of first buying Premium, you get a full refund of that first payment (section 6).
- After that, there's no refund for the rest of the period you've paid for.
8. Our responsibility to you
- We'll provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Your legal rights as a consumer aren't affected by these terms.
- The service may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We'll try to keep interruptions short.
- If we don't meet these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that. We aren't responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses (the service is for personal use).
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
- Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (proposed), except where the law doesn't allow this.
9. Content and intellectual property
- The service, its design and our own content belong to us or our licensors. Oak National Academy and DfE content is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0: "Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0."
- Your child's answers and messages are theirs. You give us permission to use them to provide the service, as described in our Privacy notice. We don't use them to train AI models.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the law or the service changes. For important changes, we'll email you at least 30 days in advance (proposed). If you don't agree, you can cancel before they take effect.
11. Complaints and contact
If something goes wrong, please contact us first at support@learnrove.co.uk. We'll try to put it right quickly.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring claims in your local courts.
